We’ve added an additional qualification to this course which is Emergency First Aid at Work certification on Monday 31st July. We have a company booked to come in and deliver the training (you will need this qualification to teach at studios so it’s a double whammy of qualifications & training.)
Our 5 day course will offer further training and professional development in becoming an Aerial Silks Teacher within both beginner and intermediate levels. The course is directed at new teachers and experienced teachers who are looking to develop or refresh their knowledge when working with children and adults in an aerial education setting. This course will cover all the fundamentals to help you become a confident and equipped aerial silks teacher. You will be trained in subjects including but not limited to; rigging, lesson planning, spotting techniques, injury prevention, correct aerial technique, anatomy, aerial course material for beginner & intermediate levels, working with children and young people, and creative development.
The course will be from 10am – 4pm each day, 6 hours a day with 1 hour for lunch. It will take place at The Aerial Attic, our studio in Street. The days will be structured so you will be learning both theory and practical throughout the day. There will be a practical examination on the last day.
You’ll receive a course workbook, and a downloadable format of the training which you can keep for your training and teaching after the course.
