We invite all levels and abilities to the Aerial Wilderness retreat. There will be workshops tailored to both beginner and advanced aerialists. Not only will there be aerial workshops in silk and hoop but every morning will be led by a gentle yoga warm up class by Jess Lightly. Jess will also be leading a partner stretch and massage workshop on the last day of the workshop to relieve all those tight muscles after a busy weekend of training. Additional massage appointments with Jess are available throughout the weekend. You’ll be surrounded by the beautiful peaceful nature of the Devon countryside throughout all your workshops as well as having the stunning cider barn available for indoor workshops.
There will be 3 x 2 hour aerial workshops 1 x aerial photoshoot and 1 x 2 hour aerial self practice in total over the weekend. Alongside 2 x 1 hour morning yoga sessions and 1 x partner stretch/ thai massage workshop.
You will be working through a beautiful selection of shapes and sequences to use either in the photoshoot or to take away with you. You’ll learn the basics in all apparatus and become comfortable and confident with flying in the air.
We will be looking at high, dynamic drops as we can train on the rigs at full height outdoors. As well as flares, spins, strong poses and twisty sequence on both sets of apparatus. You’ll learn new conditioning and strengthening exercises to help gain those tricky advanced moves!
Beautiful modern cottages with multiple toilets, ensuites, drawing rooms, kitchens and
outdoor areas.
Take a moment to relax in the heated outdoor pool and hot tub, which can be used whenever you please throughout the weekend. We will have socials under moonlight around the big fire pit and stone circle in the evening, taking a moment to chill out after a busy day of workshops.
Visit the glorious woodland on site which is used for many ceremonies throughout the year. If you want to get closer to nature and take your mind off our usual hectic lives this is the place to do it! With beautiful fairy walkways, carved woodland areas and serene landscape you won’t be disappointed.
